using kinect in zune on xbox live

If you have Kinect for Xbox 360, you can use it with Zune on Xbox LIVE. By using gestures and voice commands, you can use Kinect to find and play music and videos and to control playback without using a game controller.

Using Kinect with Zune Video

Under Video, go to Zune to browse videos. Dive in and browse featured videos and new releases, browse genres, and watch videos.

  • To control playback while watching a video, say "Xbox" to display the available voice commands (such as play, pause, stop, fast forward, and rewind).

  • To quickly find a video to watch, say "Xbox," then "suggest a movie." Zune will display suggestions and previews for videos.

Using Kinect with Zune Music

Under Music, go to Zune to browse top songs, new releases, and featured artists. You can also search to find artists and launch Smart DJ mixes by selecting the first few letters of the artist, song, or album. Then, select an artist:

  • From an artist page, select Smart DJ to launch a Smart DJ mix.

  • To start playing music in your queue, say "Xbox," and then say "play music."
