Quickplay lets you play your favorite media and newest additions to your collection at a click. Pin to Quickplay the music, videos, and podcasts that you want the quickest access to. In the "New" area, you'll find the six latest additions to your collection, and "History" is where you'll find the last six items you've played, including songs, playlists, podcasts, and videos. In Quickplay you can also create instant Smart DJ mixes.

To use Quickplay, launch the Zune software and select Quickplay from the menu. There you'll find your pins, your newest items and your most recently played media. Simply click the media you want to play it.

Media items under "New" and "History" will automatically update to include the latest items that you've added or listened to most recently.

To select an area of Zune other than Quickplay as your startup destination in the Zune software, follow these steps:

1. In the Zune software, click Settings, then General.
2. Under Startup View, choose the view you want to see when Zune is started and then click Ok.
