Play a podcast on your Zune
- In Zune software. select podcasts.
- Choose the podcast you want to play, then select play.

Play a podcast on your computer in Zune software
- In Zune software, click collection, podcasts.
- Double-click the podcast you want to play.
Play podcasts on Zune.net
- On Zune.net, click Entertainment, then Podcasts.
- Select an audio podcast to play (video podcasts aren't available to stream over the Internet).
- Click on the play button to begin streaming the podcast.
Access a video podcast from Zune.net
- On Zune.net, click Entertainment, then Podcasts.
- Select a video podcast and click Download.
- Click on the appropriate button to be taken to Zune Marketplace and download the podcast.
If you set up your subscription to play the newest episodes first and keep only one episode at a time, Zune deletes old episodes and downloads the newest one whether the older one has been played or not.
On the other hand, if you choose to play the oldest episodes first, Zune won't download the next episode until the existing one is played.
Change your playback order
- In Zune software, click collection, podcasts.
- Click an existing podcast subscription, then click Series Settings.
- Set Playback order to the setting you want.

Once you play an episode, Zune deletes it from your Zune player and your computer when you sync, unless you set your podcast preferences to not delete them. You can also keep a played episode from being deleted by marking it as "unplayed."
Mark an episode as "unplayed"
- In Zune software, click collection, podcasts.
- Right-click the podcast and select Mark as Unplayed.
If you stop playing a podcast before it's done, Zune bookmarks where you stopped. You can resume from that point later. When you sync, bookmarks sync between the computer and your Zune.
Episodes played up to the last few minutes of the recording are marked as played and deleted according to your settings.
