To join the Zune Social or to get music from Zune Marketplace, you need a Zune account. Create it, and sign in to buy Microsoft Points, download music and videos, and see and hear what your friends and family are listening to.
The Zune Social is a Web site where you can see and hear what your friends and family are listening to. Create your own online profile that reflects your music identity and join in.
To create your account at Zune.net, you'll need an Internet connection and an e-mail address you will use to sign in to Windows Live sites and services.
If you already have a Windows Live ID that you're using on Xbox LIVE, Xbox.com, or Games for Windows - LIVE, use it to sign up for the Social so that you can share your Microsoft Points balance across all Live sites.
When you sign up you'll be choosing a Zune tag, a unique name that represents you in the Social community and appears on your Zune card and in the Zune software. If you want, you can use your Xbox LIVE Gamertag as your Zune Tag.
