buy from fm

You can buy songs you hear on the radio with your Zune player. In order to buy songs immediately, your Zune needs to be able to connect to a wireless network. It can use a public unsecured network — as in a restaurant, library, café, etc. — or a secured network, if you have the password for that network. You also need to have installed the latest version of the Zune software and linked your player with your Zune Tag. If you can't connect to a network, or haven't linked your player with your Zune Tag, you can still add songs to your cart and buy them in the Zune software the next time you sync with your computer. Learn more about how to set up your Zune to be able to shop Zune Marketplace.

Buy from FM is available only in the United States, and purchases require Microsoft Points. You can only buy Points on your computer, so stock up before you head out the door with your Zune.

Buy from FM

  1. On your Zune, select radio.

    Note
The headphone cable serves as an antenna, so be sure to have your headphones plugged in when using the radio, even when you're playing your Zune through your TV or stereo.

  2. Find a song you're interested in buying. Make sure the song's artist and title appear on your display. Without the artist and title, your player won't be able to find the song in Zune Marketplace.

  3. Press the center of your Zune Pad and select add song to cart.

  4. When the player shows Added to cart. View cart now? select Yes.

  5. In the cart, click buy all to buy and download all items at once, or select an individual item to buy that one only.
