| | The Zune inbox is your contact point for the Social. All the music, podcasts, pictures, and messages that your friends send you land in your inbox. Your Zune inbox appears in three places: on your device, in the Zune software, and on Zune.net. Although you are able to do specific things in each location, they all work together once you sync. - Device inbox: Anything your friends beam to you lands in your device inbox.
- Zune software inbox: When you sync, the list of songs and the pictures and podcasts in your device inbox sync to the Zune software inbox.
- Zune.net inbox: From Zune.net, you can manage the contents of your inbox and reply to messages from friends in the Zune online community.
You'll find that the inboxes in the Zune software and on Zune.net work together. For example, when you send a message in the Zune software inbox, you're taken right to the Zune.net inbox. When you click a link to download music in the Zune.net inbox, you go directly to the Zune software. When you sync, pictures and podcasts beamed to your Zune sync to the inbox in the Zune software. Details about the songs you've been sent are also synced to the Zune software inbox. The songs themselves don't sync, but you can add them to your wish list to follow up on later and buy at Zune Marketplace if you want. Open your inbox in the Zune software - Sign in to the Zune software.

Songs, pictures, and podcasts

Deleting items from your inbox
You can delete items from your inbox from anywhere—on your Zune, in the Zune software, or on Zune.net. Be aware that if you delete an item from your device inbox before you sync, you won't be able to add it to your Zune software and Zune.net inboxes. Also, deleting items from your device inbox doesn't remove them from your Zune software or on Zune.net inboxes. |
