Subscribe to a podcast and listen to the episodes on your PC (go to Collection, Podcasts, select an episode, and click Play).
Sync podcasts to a Zune device and play episodes on the go (go to Collection, Podcasts, then click and drag a podcast series or episode to the Device icon).
Stream episodes from Zune.net. (You'll need to use the Zune Music + Video software if you want to subscribe to or download a podcast.)
Automatic bookmarking
When you stop a podcast part way through, the Zune Music + Video software records and bookmarks the place where you stopped. You can resume from that spot later when you play the episode again. If you sync the episode to a device, the bookmark is also synced. The next time you play that podcast after you sync, you'll pick up where you left off.
Playback order
You can choose to download newer episodes first or older episodes. For a news podcast, you'll probably want to listen to the newest podcasts first. For a language course, you'll probably want to start from the beginning and download the oldest episodes first.
If you choose newest first, Zune Music + Video will download new episodes and delete the old ones, even if you haven't played them. On the other hand, if you choose to play the oldest episodes first, Zune won't download the next episode until the existing one is played. For tips on adjusting podcast settings, see Managing your podcasts.
To change your playback order
You can change the playback order separately for each podcast series.
In the Zune Music + Video software, go to Collection, Podcasts.
Select an existing podcast subscription, then click Series Settings.
